Is HDVSplit freeware? It appears to be.

If so, can I use it at my company?

I’ve used it in the past and found it performed better than Vegas’ capture utility where I’ve also experienced drop outs without frames being reported as dropped.

During long captures, scenes will occassionally split even if scene detection is turned off and I’ll lose a few seconds of video.

I’m often able to just recapture the section that was dropped and mix it back it but it’s time consuming.

If HDVSplit is ok to use commercially, I’d rather just use that.

    thx!

Thanks so much! Very helpful indeed.

I was kind of leaning towards the Sanken as I thought it sounded the best. On Ken Stone’s audio review, I did actually notice a few P pops on the Sennheiser mic.

    Thanks again!

I’m stumped… I’ve also noticed that some fonts don’t seem to carry over from my system to the Pro Type Titler… Perhaps somebody else has a fix?

I had the same exact problem and resolved it by copying and dragging adobe fonts into the Windows font directory.

For example, when I did a search for Adobe Caslon Pro, it lived in a Adobe directory (Adobe CS2), dragging Adobe fonts to the general Windows font area did the trick for me.

  • Would love to learn more about the frameserving option… Is this something offered in Excalibur? Tried to locate some threads on this but couldn’t come up with anything.

    Thanks much in advance!
