It May be a phase issue with your audio channels. Play with mono’ing the left and right channels, check for phase inversion down the chain and check your project is correctly outputting stereo and not surround unless it’s meant to be surround of course.

Apple loves the word Share, they used it to replace all instances of the word ‘Export” in FCPX, Motion and Compressor. 🙂

There is no indication within the clip info that it has been flagged as anamorphic, however it displays at the correct aspect ratio on the timeline without any intervention.
( I.e. no going to item properties>format>check box for anamorphic as you do/did in legacy FCP ).

Don’t forget to go too your Project Properties and click the wrench/spanner icon too modify them if you are working with anamorphic.
Apologies if this is blindingly obvious and you already know this but you should set your project up something like this to work with FHA – obviously this is PAL.

Hi Edward,

thanks for the reply. All seems to be working ok now. I have no idea why the TGA i initially used didn’t work, but subsequent experimentation has yielded good results and JPEGs and other formats seem to work fine.
I have another question but it is an animation issue so i will start a new thread for that one.

On the plus side i have managed to map video to a surface which looks pretty awesome so i’ll just keep plugging away with different formats as i’m sure it will work.
