    Hi Again,

I was at NAB. AVID with MOJO was slower at rendering. Final Cut Pro was smoother and faster. If I had my way I would love to get avid express pro on a PC. PC is where I want to edited. But Final Cut Pro is the better editing software program. Now if I wanted to edited some real hugh projects all the time then I would probably get a higher end avid on PC. But the express system is just not that good when compared to others.

  • Hi,

I agree with you in regards to NAB. I was their on Monday and was blown away by apple. The apple people had far more passion in their product. Plus their was always by far, more people at visiting Apple then Avid.

The thing that is killing Avid is that their products are more expensive. They have editing systems that you have to spend alot of money on and I think people are tired of it. I think people are tired of working with Avid and are looking for Final Cut Pro.

I am leaning towards final cut pro at this moment.

  • Hi,
Thanks for the info, but I have been told the opposite about AVID. I have been told that final cut is more stable because the computer system and software are all built by apple. It scares me a little to go with mojo. I have seen mojo work compared to liquid edition pro, and it is slower. Liquid takes advantage of using the CUP more.
Anyway, at NAB I was more impressed with final cut pro software then avid, but I tend to like PCs better then MAC. From research it seems that PC’s are faster at processing and rendering.
