Hi. I use a service similar to wordmark.it or flippingtypical.com (other alternatives at https://www.sitepoint.com/5-best-browser-font-viewers/ ) to choose any of the fonts installed on my system.

They give us the ability to type in our sample text, change size, etc.

I do not do a lot of AE work, but the work I do is kept on a WD MyBook TB 6G (2x3G striped) volume. Everything runs fine and speedy until my system falls back to my SATA drives for something – loading a system file, background swapping, etc.

As Dan says, though: if you move it, pack it well! 🙂

Hi! The expression(s) that you are looking for are way out of my league – I am a sometimes AE user just to get small projects done.

I do not understand how you want to use the resulting footage, but it would seem to me that you just need to make the comp large enough for all of the effects to render within the frame.

You have likely already thought of this and ruled it out, but I know that sometimes I spend days trying to solve something that I have overlooked.
