I want to scroll through different fonts to see how my text looks. How to I de select the font?

I want to see how my text looks in different fonts but as I’m scrolling down through the different fonts my text is constantly selected. How do I deselect the text so I can properly see how the text looks as I scroll down through the fonts? Thanks. -

Hi. I use a service similar to wordmark.it or flippingtypical.com (other alternatives at https://www.sitepoint.com/5-best-browser-font-viewers/ ) to choose any of the fonts installed on my system.
They give us the ability to type in our sample text, change size, etc.
