Might want to consider this. We shoot head-to-toe green screen with an adapter like this, but it would save you some resolution for a vertically oriented shot.

January 22, 2015 at 12:05 pm in reply to: Dynamic Link in premiere pro greyed out ( replace with after effects comp)I’ve had this problem before. Adobe Techs recommended uninstalling both programs then re-installing, which solved it.

Remembered seeing this the other day. Not sure if it will help, but worth a look.

Here’s an interesting build by Dave Dugdale and JJ Guererro, who forgot more during his REM sleep last night than I’ve ever known about building PC’s.

January 15, 2015 at 2:24 pm in reply to: Recording, Livestreaming, and Closed Captioning all at once?! (x-post question from a terrified newbie)Sorry for the delay. No, those stats are for our editing system back in our studio. The laptop we use for webcasting is an ASUS N53S which is several years old. It’s specs are –
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
6GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics 3000
1 500GB 7200RPM SATA drive partition to 2 logical drives
1 USB3 external driveSo…not very powerful by today’s standards. We bring the video in via a Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle’s HDMI port. Last summer we streamed a 2 hour webcast at the Final Four in Dallas, TX without a single problem.

We once had both, mainly because at the time, Squeeze was reportedly better at MPEG-2 DVD encoding. AME improved enough in later vesions, and our level of DVD production all but disappeared so that it wasn’t an issue any longer. Also, back then we could use the DeBugMode Frameserver to enable Squeeze encoding directly from a Premiere timeline without having to encode an intermediate. Not even sure that the Frameserver even exists any longer. I believe the last I saw of it, it was working with CS6, so if you decide to go with Squeeze, certainly save yourself the time of creating intermediate files by using it.
