    Hi Ace,

My company, Chicago HD, specializes in HD post production services including mastering. If you’d like us to lay your quicktime movie off to HDCAM-SR for you, I’d be happy to talk with you about that.

To each his own. We just prefer to offer our customers the best. We don’t have a problem using menus here. I wouldn’t know about Miranda’s support… their product functions so well and is so easy to use that we haven’t needed to call them. All the best, Bob.

The best way to deal with HDV is to skip the multiple gadgets and purchase a Miranda HDV Bridge. A no-brainer high-end encoder that does some amazing stuff, including cross conversion. One cable in, one cable out, one cable for serial control, GO.

    Good luck

59.94 is the speed. D5 references 29.97 base TC, not 59.94. I need to output to tape with proper SMPTE drop frame code, the deck allows for it in 720p, FCP does not. NDF vs. DF has nothing to do with tape speed. NDF/DF has to do with how TC numbers relate to real time. Call me, Gary. I think you’re misunderstanding me. Steve from Chicago HD.
