Did I list the correct settings? What should the correct settings be?

  • So you think my system is not powerful enough? I have to admit that i’m new at this whole thing and have no idea what” capturing in lower fields means”. Does that refer to how i’m placing video into the Timeline? EX. whether I’ve placed video in video track 2 first over video track 3??

Note: I’ve watched the video again and the only areas where distoration and lines appear is during transitions or video effects. For example, fast foward, reverse mode,”twirl in”,”slide in” and “zoom” with the picture sized smaller. Again, the video quality is good in all sections with no effect alterations. However, soon as say I slow the video down by 50%, distortion and lines appear on the screen.

Please help otherwise I have to go back to videostudio, which is to basic. I have 9 tapes to edit and I really need the functions of premiere especially its “razor” tool and “picture in picture” abilities.

  • I’m not sure on the computer specs…something like 1gig ram, big harddrive. Anyways, it’s not the computer because quality is fine with video studio.

The video i made was vary basic just testing features in premiere, fiv min or so. I used some transition effect, text effecs and picture in picture. I tried burning the dvd just as it says in help. However, you see distortion and lines after completing the burn and playing it on the tv.
