In production premium there are only 8 DVDs, so which one of it does contain the necessary files?

    Hello katethepoet,
Sorry to say but your downloaded trial is most probably corrupted. Did you use any Download Managers? If you did, then try downloading not using any third party download managers. Generally it is not possible for the sw to check whether you have manually copied the .cab or not, unless it gives you an option to do so.

Your second problem is arising out of the fact that you already tried installing the trial version so now the next installation will not proceed. There are two way out:
    1. Run the installer again. At the very beginning it should give you an option to either remove or to repair installation. Choose remove. If it works then fine otherwise use method 2.

    2. Visit this link :https://ppro.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#How_do_I_uninstall_the_tryout_version.3F
Here you can find what are the different components you need to remove manually. Remove only those related with PPro 2 incuding the random looking number strings in your registry [CLSIDs].

Hope this will solve your problem.

    Hello Mike,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I have solved the problem using this link https://ppro.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#How_do_I_uninstall_the_tryout_version.3F

I followed all the entries related to PPro2 [including the CLSIDs] and then rebooted. After that there was no problem.

    Thank you again.

    Hello Mike,
Thank you very much for your response :).

I tried to run the Trial version uninstaller again but it can not uninstall the previous version. Though it is giving two options: remove and repaire. Selecting the remove option runs the uninstaller for 30sec or so then it gives a massege that it was stopped and the job could not be completed. Though if I try to repaire it it is showing massege of sucessful installation after a reasonable time during which the installation progress is visible. After repaire though I could not find the PpRo2 installation folder anywhere in my PC. I tried to use the safe mode, that also did not help as it told me that the installation service could not be accessed from the safe mode.

    So please help me out.

    Thank you again.

October 27, 2006 at 4:19 pm in reply to: Rendering Problem in Premiere Pro 1.5

    Hello Mike,

Sorry I wrongly pointed out the time for the 2nd time of rendering. Basically the rendering did not take place at all because of my mistake. Generally the rendering takes around3.5-4hrs for 1hr video encoded in High Quality VCD.

But the observation regading the TEMP folder cleaning still holds true. I have seen in previous occassions also that I need to clear the temp folder to have around 35-40% rendering possible.

So could you please give me a solution?

    Thank you.

    Hello Mike,

Unfortunately, this time also PPRo could not render completely, it gave the error massege as before.

One peculiar observation: As I deleted all the contents of my temp folder using program like CleanUp!4.52, then it rendered rest 35mins without hitch and only in 6 mins flat. For the first portion it took around 3.5hrs.

Help me to resolve this issue please. 🙁

  • Hello Millard,
Sorry if I sound rude but I think you are horribly biased towards Intel which I am not. I never said that AMD 64 performs better than core duo but obviously Pentium D is no match for Athlon64. And the performence improvement that Core duo offers also comes with a comperatively higher price. So if at a much lower cost the need of the user is satisfied, then why to spend more?! I only tried to suggest this point to the user.

I do read, and read a lot. Next time please do not think that you are the only reader around; and read a post carefully before throwing rude comments and unwanted suggestions in reply. I do not how much you read neither I have anything to do with that, but there is serious lack of understanding in you.

BTW, I have two computers, both runs on AMD [one 64 and other XP] and I have switched to AMD after using Intel extensively and reffering to a number of tests and price too, so whatever I say is based on my personal experiences and tests as well as of third parties rather than completely borrowed from third parties which are sometimes tailor made to suite the need of a particular company.

I have no intention to insult you but next time be a little bit more polite in your approach to other users.

Thank ypou very much Mike for taking time to respond to me. I am presently working on my Home Video and I’ll be back with the results ASAP.

BTW, do you think that my computer will support PPRO 2? I mean is there any financial/feature related logic if I go for an upgrade.

You are an Expert so I shall be grateful to you for your kind advices.

    Thank you again.
