    Hi all,

I just wanted to give an update and say thank you everyone! Alex, thank you very much because your second suggestion worked! I set the premiere project to 1080 x 1080 yet kept AE at the standard 1920×1080 and set guides to show me where I could edit. All I had to do was drag the comp from AE to Premiere and render it, and it worked! Thank you!

Hm is there a better way to create a square video? Would the square video be the reason the dynamic link does not transfer properly to Premiere? It doesn’t seem to me like that is the reason but I can do a few tests.

Thank you everyone for your help!!!

Hi Dave. I am supposed to be making short, fairly simple promotional video clips that are released on social media for work (new job). They are supposed to be square. What dimensions should I be using? I chose 1080×1080 because the original clips that I was given are 1980×1020, and I was told to crop them.

Hi Jon. Thank you so much for responding! Here are screenshots of the sequence settings in Premiere and the composition settings in After Effects. Do you need any other information?

This is what three lines of simple text looks like once it is brought into Premiere:

Thank you again for the help!
