  • I assume you’re talking about the target. There should be a option for the size in the target under the advanced tab. Just click the arrow for the advanced thing, and there should be an option for the size of the target and the tracking points.

Let’s hope you know how to work masks. Firsly, you can make a solid similar to the color of fire and use that as your light around the cage, so just mask it out around varioud parts of the cave, prrhaps duplicate the solid and do it over the footage in varioud places. Then, mask out your fire and use the standard glow from AE. I think that covers a general overview of your effect?…

Well, yes the stock footage fog should allow for the disappearance of someone if you mess around with the opacity settings and you may need to use masks too. As far as the 3D modeling and actual VFX goes, like Ted said, it really depends on your budget first. If we know what it is, we’ll have a better chance at helping you with this effect. But if you’re a one man show type, your effect probably isn’t going to be completely realistic as you have planned unless you have serious time on your hands or you’re incredibly good with editing and 3D modeling. Cheers!

  • Well, you can create multiple nulls to make a track better, but I’m not sure if assigning multiple nulls to one object will really hold it still……

The saber effect looks great on it!, mainly because I love using saber too. I think you’re probably all set at this point then, and I’m proud of you for doing this! I’m not your dad. 🙂

Agreed. But again, it’s most likely your footage that’s probably causing the problem.

So maybe make a solid around the different colors and add feathering, and then a glow?

Well, it seems you have composited each layer separately, maybe. If that’s the case or something of the sort, maybe use a glow effect and have the colors glow whenever the slider goes into a particular color region. Or, change the color of the particles too?..
