So now, I have the project open, and the footage is in another location. The project tells me I have 356 missing files. I make a search for “missing” in the project window, and now I have a list from all my missing films. But I cant reload them. None of them. I can import 1 of them into a new project, so the film itself isn’t corrupt, but when I try to reload the film into my work project, it just works and works and works (little blue turning circle in win7)and then gives me the “not responding” message again.
I’ve had enough for today, but if anyone has an idea…

    thanks

    Thanks Walter.
Partial success. I moved all the video assets away into another location (including all the AAF files) and the project opens. At least thats something. Now the fun begins, relinking the footage from something like 130 comps…
    Any tips?
    Thanks again

Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately, nothing works. This is a real pisser, and will cause me untold work if I have to redo this project.
It’s strange how the open project window opens, then almost immediately the “not responding” windows message appears.

Ha. Yes Bill, that is so true.
I remember when I first got to Germany, and saw an ad for margarine, that was a beautiful topless woman walking out of a lake, and getting it on with this buff man. This was in the middle of spongebob, about 3:30 in the afternoon!

    Here is the spot.

    Hi Mark, and thanks.
I left the timing in that sequence a little slower on purpose, so as to let the comedic essence have a bit of time to work. The customer was overly worried that it might come across as too violent, but when he saw it he cracked up laughing which is the reaction I was (am) trying to provoke. I have looked at the thing a thousand times now, and I must say I find the pace comfortable. Look at it without the audio, and see if it still works as too slow. I don’t know, we all have a bit of a different taste and opinion but that’s what makes life interesting. I could keep tweaking away at the thing forever, but it is already finished, signed off and shipped to the cinemas. On to the next.

Just out of curiosity, could you get that ad played during the early evening the US? Or would it be a bit too much with the dick-punch?

Thanks for the help and feedback, Mark. (again…)

    Hi Pete,
1280×1080 is anamorphic HD. It has a different pixel aspect ratio. Just like D1 footage is still 16×9 when only 720 pixels wide, same with the HD. Don’t worry, its completely normal.
