Life saver… I’m running two identical Avid systems and I can move tracks on one but not the other. It’s been driving me around the bend! Many thanks

Peter – I wonder if you can help. I have Avid MC5 and I’ve just uploaded the BCC effects and want to use them as transitions. I have plenty of excess material after the transition point on the outgoing clip and similarly on the incoming one.

When I apply the BCC effect – in this case a directional blur – the effect stays with the outgoing clip until the end of the transition and then I get an abrupt cut to the incoming clip. Basically, the effect has not animated itself between the two clips, even though the diagonal line crosses 12 frames before and 12 frames after.

Any idea of what I’ve missed here?
    Cheers

    Hi Denise,
I was reading through this thread and wondered if you figured out the solution? This seems to happen to me and I’m trying to deal with it! Grateful for any pointers you can let me have!

    Hi Bouke,
Seemed like a sensible solution but I’ve just tried re-exporting as a 4:3 and it gives me the same error.

So I tried exporting again, but forcing it to 720×576. When I loaded the result into Quicktime, the image and audio were both choppy. However, Encore WAS able to read this unusable file.

    Any further thoughts?!
