There is a wonderful alchemy involved in sculpture that allows me to be far more visceral than when I painted. I like the idea of balance, movement and flow combined with the pure physicality and tactile nature of the materials. My style is uncomplicated, economical but energetic. My sculptures focus on a few simple lines and the fluidity of the subject – my aim is to interpret the aesthetic yet retain the dynamic.
