I appreciate the answers and I’m glad to know that I don’t need to retranscode. So does HQ just give you 4:4:4 color space?

I appreciate the prompt reply – I actually read a bunch of the posts on this forum and had not seen a definitive answer – I’ve seen a bunch of debates about how going HQ is a benefit for grading and keying and a lot of people saying that it wasn’t necessary unless the output was meant to be 2k or better.
Is your response based on opinion or is there some sort of definitive example out there? (I don’t mean to question your opinion – I’m just trying to make qualify the answer)

Thanks for the feedback – just to clarify – there is absolutely no intention of grading on a consumer screen (or using the macbook pro) – I just want to be able to see my edit on a consumer screen from my macbook pro in the offline.
The online and grading will be performed on a tower with the IO.
