EASY FLICKER (or blink on/off) for newbies like me.

I made a light flicker on and off beatifully:
    (1) click on EFFECT tab at top. Scroll down and choose STROBE LIGHT (one item from top on pull-down menu).
….(FYI NOTE: Make sure you have chosen the footage or object that you want to effect first.)

At that point look at the left side of screen and you will see the “EFFECT CONTROLS” for the STROBE LIGHT. Each customizable control has a little arrow >. Click on the ones you want to play with to customize the effect to reach your desired result.

What I did with EFFECTS CONTROL to get an off/on FLICKER:
    (2) I upped RANDOM STROBE from 0% to 86% (for a lot of flickers)
    (3) And changed Stobe from: “Operates on Color Only” V
    – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – TO “MAKES LAYER TRANSPARENT”

it was that simple and it looked great!

****To see the “EFFECT CONTROLS” panel for “STOBE LIGHT” (with my changes highlighted) on an actual screen shot, use this link: 4383_2effectcontolsforstobelight.jpg.zip

Have fun. Hope this helps someone. So many repies assume the asker already knows almost everything, I assume the opposite. Better too much information than not enough.
