Hello,

I’m new to these forums and I hope resurrecting this old thread isn’t bad form but I have a related question.

What I want to know is: this SONY XDcam Transfer Software (once you’ve found it) is often a ‘Transfer Plug-In for Final Cut Pro (MAC)’.

Do you need this software when transferring from a card reader to a PC? Is anything else required?

Trying to open the reader without any software installs gives the option to ‘format drive’ which seems obviously undesirable.

I know this is a very basic question but any help is appreciated!
