Firstly i want to thank you Filip for this large and complete post !
I remember that SONY acquired the “useful assistant” for his own development and software… strange situation, probably an economic idea.
Anyway, you’ve got another solution by hand… good idea to flash by a difference mode !
Yes, I was looking for “Color sampler” too in order to compare two frames in few area at the same time but my lack of knowledge in script don’t let my automate the cut.
There is certainly a “script’man” to show me this way (compare few area / cut or marker)

Thanks a lot Dave,
Double and triple check done…
Everything seems already PAL (i converted the footage before writting this post)
some 4/3 rushes have a strange 1.093 aspect ratio after being converted. I set them to 1.067 in Premiere.
My project is 16/9Any other idea ?

May 5, 2006 at 8:31 am in reply to: Time lapse text overlay with scripts or expressions? To me, you’d better use a tool like total commander:
– reorder by date of creation
– rename automatically to make a sequence of stills : file0000001.jpg / file0000002.jpg …
then just import in AE like sequence !sebastien

April 19, 2006 at 8:49 am in reply to: How calculate the circumference’s lenght of a mask / dotted lines along mask pathOK!!
Mylenium
Here is my solution to read the true world pixel units:
http://www.apt-a.com/cow/dotted_lines_AE7.aepMy idea was to use the ability of AE to exchange data between mask and spatial position. Let me explain: with a spatial position, we can find a speed so a number of pixel by seconde… if we know the duration, we are able to know the lenght of the path, and the lenght of the mask !!!!!
It works great with scale too.The only thing i need is a script to automatically convert the mask to the spatial position… to avoid copy/paste everytime !
Let’s have a look and Tell me what you think about it !
