    Thanks for that Dean,

    Excellent punnery there!!!

Another question wise people – once I’ve outputted from Clip Browser using ‘for NLE’ option – the clip will contain the logging info that I’ve entered right – is there any reason to keep the original files after that?

    Cheers,

    Sean

    Hi guys,

Thanks very much for that, it’s really helpful – I’ve taken all that on board and know I know the options I can work out what system is best for us.

    Cheers very much indeed,

    Sean

  • I sometimes get that error message, try changing the options on export so they aren’t same as source, set them manually to what you think might work. It’s often trial and error (for me anyway) with QT export!

  • I haven’t done that on a laptop but I have on a tower.

Not sure it will work for you but I plugged the Z1 directly to the tower (it’s best to do this rather than going through mojo, in fact turn mojo off and go with software only). If your laptop recognises it as a capture device then you should set your deck configuration to Firewire. If it’s attached properly and you autoconfigure it should show as Generic DV Device.

Also be wary of the camera settings, have a fiddle about with them, as that may be why it isn’t showing.

Hope that helps, but probably not!
