is there a specific reason to go from the dvi port to an hdmi adapter and then into the bmd box? couldnt i just route directly from the hdmi port to the box?

I asked nvidia about this and they told me there wasn’t an SDI option on the 4000. the quadro has a DVI and an HDMI out. please forgive me as I’m uneducated on these technicalities but would the mxo work with the 2nd hdmi port if I used an hdmi to dvi adapter then went into the box?

I bought the quadro 4000 and it was a huge piece of crap. the mpe in pp cs 5.5 only worked about half the time. the other half it would just freeze up. There was also weird shredding of the image in the canvas on playback in fcp 7. also a lot of colorista render errors started to occur after installation..I came running back into the arms of my factory ATI RADEON card and everythings been back to normal since but no GPU acceleration in Premiere ;(..So I returned the quadro and I’m now waiting for a better solution…

Thanks for your help man! tried playing back the footage at 50% and it’s clear with no blur. Thats irritating though because its so small. As long as my export is clear I’m ok with it I guess. You’ve been very helpful

So.. Why would they take these options away? I’ts very confusing to me.. I mean, What about footage that has a native format of DVCPRO HD? Are they forcing us to recompress our footage? Also when you say Pro res which PR codec is it? 4444, HQ, 422, LT, Proxy? What if I’m using 720p and 1080i footage together in 1 timeline? the 720 is non interlaced while the 1080 would have an upper field order. How does that work out?

So how do I get it to playback normal and not blurry? I have to view it at 50%? why is this? can I change this option?
