I wonder how Adobe counts enterprise or site licenses. For example, they are pushing us hard to get a CC site license for our university. We have 33,000 students, 5,000 faculty and lets say 3,000 staff. If we agreed to a site license for the university would Adobe count 41,000 to their total even though only a small fraction might actually use it?

Can we also now say that Apple is not abandoning the “pro” market, rather quite the opposite?

[Bill Davis] “but I STILL can’t see the 3D camel”

    It’s a lizard, not a camel! At least that’s what I saw last night….

  • [David Lawrence] “AFAIK, FXFactory doesn’t support Avid”

    Thus my muse.

  • Very cool. Interesting that he makes the plug-ins for FCPX, Motion, Premiere and AE but nothing for Avid.

“Doesn’t FCPX need a new titling tool much more than Premiere Pro?”

No, or not as nearly as bad as Premiere needed it. That title tool was stuck in the 1990’s. In my opinion only, of course.

“As in, you cannot directly import a multiclip Motion composition into FCPX. You can rig a complex template and bring that into X, but that’s hardly the same thing.”

Didn’t Apple just hire Wes Plate? Hmmmm…

By pure coincidence I landed in Minneapolis for work yesterday. I did not realize it was the anniversary before I got here, but once I did there was no way to avoid it. This city loved that guy. I walked down to watch a Twins game last night and they had a cool tribute and seemingly all the between-innings music was his. I overheard many stories about people running into him biking downtown or going to Paisely Park events. Very cool.
