Perfectly happy? Highly doubtful. But what other app gets huge new features with every release? And for me, tighter integration with Motion is MUCH higher on my list than an audio mixer. Never used it in 7, so I don’t miss it here.

Good, solid update. Consolidating it’s position, if you will.

Been playing with R11 today. Certainly a very beta product. All sorts of strangeness and I don’t see huge advantages to it as an editor. Tracks suddenly feel confining.

I guess it depends on your acquisition format. I played with round-tripping from X to R10 and it was pretty good. I just sent the XML file over and then back to X when done. Worked pretty well. Hope to get a chance to download the beta R11 today. I wonder if there is a way to add handles to the corrected clips on the way back to FCPX?

I think it’s a great habit. And it’s another thing that can make X so much faster and efficient.

R11 is a 1.0 beta software from a company with a shallow pedigree in editing software, so we should not expect too much right now. I will have it as a finishing system for those few jobs that simply can’t finish in X and just to learn it for freelance opportunities.

You think? I see it as simply a finishing tool that will get used only when needed. I will have it at some point, but there is no need to rush (unless you just have to have tracks!).

Go into your compound clip, put the second explosion where you want it and use the V key to simply turn off the other. Salt and pepper as needed.
