    Hi Jan,

    After your post, I set it to 1394 in. No changes. But would setting it to 1394 in make a difference since I’m attempting a dub using S-Video?

    In any case, since you’re the product manager, what would be the exact steps you’d take to set-up the HVX-200A to receive an S-Video input signal and record it either to (1) P2 or (2) Mini DV?

    If you could tell me that, it’d be a huge help. Thanks very much for your time,

    Hi Michael, thanks for your reply.

    Yes, the Hi8 is sending out a video signal through S-Video. I connected it via S-Video to my TV via my DVD/VCR and it came up fine.

    So it appear so be a setting I’m missing on the HVX…
