Sorry about that, my mess up. They’re two eSATA cables coming out of the eSATA hard drive into a card that goes in the Mac.
There’s a firewire 800 going out to the external hard drive.
Well, we’ve now decided to just dump the HD video directly on to the external hard drive…the mac hard drive will be too small to take the full load of 4 hours of HD video.
In the Capture Settings tab of Final Cut I have Capture/Input set at: AJA IoHDi 29.97 Apple Pro Res 422 (per the advice of a AJA tech dude)
The Device Control is set to: Non-Controllable Device (also per his request).
This configuration has worked before in that we’ve been able to capture footage.
So, with the new set-up, any suggestions on why we currently can’t get a “VTR OK” signal in the Log & Capture?
