i made the jump from Sony to Panasonic earlier this year. the HMC150 delivers gorgeous video. It is clean and the noise levels certainly look better than the Z1. I am currently editing a wedding shot by my 2nd crew with Z1s, and truthfully, after editing the panasonic stuff, this footage looks horrible in low light. do yourself a favor and upgrade.

Duh! Thanks for reminding me, I forgot I had it setup with SuperDuper already. I cloned a few weeks ago to make room on my main partition
and have a backup schedule every friday. Whew.

    thanks Walter.

  • is it smart to spend the money to “crossgrade upgrade” with NAB coming up? Or just wait for FCP 6?

Can you set up a cluster with the intel notebook for use with compressor? I am curious to see if you can
use your G5 as the main station and have the two work together. Or, if stuido 5.1 needs to be on both machines.

how fast does it run, say, compared to an older dual G5 tower?

if you have an apple store near you, they often have open box deals with the same one year warranty.
I had the opportunit to buy one at the Cincinatti Apple Store a few weeka go. I decided I would wait a while
longer and see what is coming down the road.

yep. he doesn’t have a deck though. I may suggest to him it would be cheaper to buy a pos minidv
    camcorder to capture.

hey, i just wanted to know if there are some rumors. hypothetically, let’s say it does appear,
which would be a good tower to accompany a dp2.0 G5 to help with renders, in lieu of
going out and dumping 3K on a new quad, intel or G5.
