I did pretty much the same thing.

After capturing the home videos I edited in FCP, then exported all the m4v files. Then I imported them all into my Plex server and organized them into categories, adding descriptive metadata for each file.

Now all our home videos are available wherever we are: on each TV at home, but also iPhones, iPads, etc. when we travel (if we ever do again).

Huge benefit is that I can add users and share specific folders with family members all over the country. My brothers can log into my server and watch our home videos whenever they want.

It’s more of a cast shadow than a drop shadow, but I love the idea of creating 2D text and making it look like a shadow and animating it separately. Thank you!
