Hi, sorry for the delay. Footage was shot in HD on the HVX200 using p2 cards. The old footage was shot in the same format, the only differences being the size of the cards (4g for old, 32g for new), and the computers used during filming. The first time around it was a G4 running Final Cut 5.0.4, and we needed to use a p2 card reader to dump the cards. The new footage was dumped on a newer mac that has a p2 card slot. I don’t know what version of Final Cut they were running.

Also, when I received the old footage it already had capture scratch files, and I was able to import them as using “import – folders.” This time, there were no capture scratch files, and I was only able to import the files using the Panasonic p2 option.

    I’m using a G5, and Final Cut 5.0.4.

Please let me know if there is other info that would be helpful. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks guys. I checked my settings and they seem to line up. I neglected to mention earlier that the files were imported into a preexisting project, with edited footage already in the sequences. I need to be able to intercut the new footage with the old.
