Believe it or not, Mike, I just figured it out before you posted that last comment. 🙂 Thanks very much for your help and prompt reply though! I don’t suppose you know why that happens … with the clip I mean. It seems counter-intuitive to cut a clip and then still have it actually there?

By ‘expand’ I mean when I grab the right end of the clip taken down to the timeline ie the visible frame and pull it to the right to see the thumbnail versions of the frames in the clip. I see frames which I assume were left up in the trimmer section.
