    thanks David for your reply….
i know about the Cubix thing, i was trying not to invest in that, since im in Lebanon and shipping it over here plus taxes will make it cost a fortune and for now im grading max 2k Footage, just need the speed when i apply noise reduction.

i have Mac pro old version 8 cores, nVidia K5000 4GB already, and was planing to get the cubix for that, but after i made a test, that PC could handle 20 nodes with blurs, while the Mac 10.

so i thought i can change the motherboard and cpu and have a mother board that has 3 pci slots 16x so i can use the 3 cards i have.
sure need extra 1 or 2 pcie for decklink and maybe some other card for future.

i got your point, so what about using the system HD on the second optical drive bay? and 16TB 4×4, on board bays, what is the perfect raid level to use for video editing 2K and? im talking about 8tb as mirror.

raid 1 only works with a pair of disks.

i did try 8 bits uncompressed, none, pro res (all), upper, off fields, played arround with the time line settings, but all the same

in the past i had same problem, what i did is render the project as 1080i then render it back to SD, but that is too much render for long projects.
