Ok, I sort of found out what the BIN-files are: they hold the timecode for each frame.

In a 28-frame clip, there are 28 byte arrays like this:
14 43 21 19 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 33 00 00 00 84 d9 e5 02 21 54 05 df 00 80 45 82 30 dc 50 01 c4 e9 e5 02 21 54 05 a4

My clip starts at a timecode of 19:21:43:14, which matches the first 4 bytes of the array.

But I have idea what the other bytes represent. Anyone?
