Will it work on a Mac Pro? For how much?
-
Ah. Does this pertain to the USB 3.0 version only? Or do I need to worry about this if i get the PCI-e Intensity Pro card for the Mac Pro also?

Thanks.
Do you or does anyone else have any input if anyone has had a problem exceeding the one persons 22fps limit while using the Intensity Pro card with Resolve?

I was looking for something more mobile. I also have a very small room so this would be a tad ridiculous looking in it – sitting so close :). I really like the TV though I would eventually grab one if I ever ended up in a bigger room with a client or 2 who wanted to join me in a peek at the grade.
I am curious though about your comment about going HDMI before I can afford the SDI card. Currently with a GT120, GTX285 and no capture/playback card I have no HDMI out that resolve would send the playback signal to… do I? So I would have to buy something for HDMI out in that case I could off that bat probably just afford the $280 SDI DeckLink. Can someone help me understand calibration on a Flanders? I’m really hoping to decide on the 21″ Flanders over the HP DreamColor depending on if and how I calibrate it. I know with the DreamColor, I can buy the probe for ~$350 and calibrate it as I please.
I didn’t know if the Flanders needed calibration less often or if they did it for free for life if you sent it in and yada yada. Thanks!

How is calibrating this beast? Simple bars over SDI or using a x-rite probe?
Cheers

How are you connecting the monitor to the computer? What card? What cable?
Cheers

Ok, I hear you, and thanks. Can you Ellaborate how to functionally use via some hdmi card and how much this card is, and If calibrating via probe is simple?
Also how often does the Flanders need a calibration?
Thanks

Thanks Kevin. Lets ponder on the price point. HP DreamColor: $2500 + calibrator: $350 + ????: $???? to get HDMI out from Mac Pro which is supported by Resolve.
VS.
Flanders 2140 $2500. I believe it comes calibrated and doesn’t need to be calibrated but if so, can’t you send it in and they do it for free? + SDI DeckLink: $270.I’m trying to compare the viewing angles, signals, colors, needing to calibrate, grading features: blue/monochrome, ability to possibly use on set via SDI with camera, price, etc.
The HP unless I’m mistaken seems more expensive and slightly more of a pain since you have to work around its inability to be a natural color grading monitor. (inputs, features, etc)
Let me know if I’m over looking something.
Thanks!
