I dont have anything running. Just Premiere. But im not sure about stuff thats running in the background. I have about 100 different processes running the in the background and I have tried to quite all the ones that I dont need, and it still have quicktime issues.

Sorry I forgot to specify that I have mac and pc and I can get whatever software I need. Thats not an issue.

Thanks for your response, I have been looking into mpeg 1 and it seems like its very buggy and not dependable. It also looks like it can’t achieve 720 or higher resolution.

My demo is going out to all kinds of old business men who probably have never watched a video on their computer in their life, So I have to assume they dont have flash, quicktime, or any up to date codecs installed on their computer. And my boss doesnt want them to have to install anything.

So the following are out of the question

Quicktime
HTML5
Latest versions of MPEG

Is there any way to achieve high quality HD video (At least 720) on a fresh install of Windows XP?

Someone said wmv9 Should work. If thats the case whats the cheapest application for compressing to WMV9?

Follow up, can you think of any feasible way of making something along the lines of what encore can make but only for the computer. Can encore make stuff for a computer, or is it purely dvd and bluray?

Right now I am thinking just make a swf file in flash. That might do the trick. But any other ideas would be great!
