July 30, 2018 at 10:14 pm in reply to: Would this type of cinematography work with this lens?Oh I see what you mean by digital set extensions, but the actor will not be able to move into the post extended space right? So what is the point, if the actor is to remain trapped in a corner of the picture and cannot move into the extension?

What is a motion compensating rig? The rental store here has dollies but that’s it so far.

July 30, 2018 at 10:09 pm in reply to: Should I invest in a glidecam or dolly/jib set up?Okay thanks. The DJI Ronin is quite high of a price range than what I was looking for. What if I got the Zhiyun crane gimbal instead, would that look just as good?

Golf cart? How am I suppose to transport around a golf cart? They are too big to fit in any of our cars so how would I get it to the location?

July 30, 2018 at 11:36 am in reply to: Why do so many audio professionals prefer dry audio when it comes to Foley?Oh okay. Cause I have been recording the foley in the same locations to get the same reverb, and I asked people if it sounded like it was recorded in a different room and they said it all sounded like the same room and they could not tell the difference.

Okay thanks. Is there any other kinds of dollies that might be worth looking into where the tracks were not so picky that we had to worry so much?
Like for example, are there any with a lot of shock absorption in the tires, that can absorb the shock?

K thanks. I feel a bend in the tracks at the middle section so that could be it. However aren’t flex tracks suppose to bend?

Okay thanks, that’s what I thought maybe. We rented a dolly but we noticed that there is some vibration in certain parts of the track, when laying the track on the road. Is their normally this much vibration in the track?

Why not just do it right in the first place while recording? What do you by stepping on the tracks? All you are doing is recording Foley at the same locations to match. I wouldn’t call that stepping on the tracks, but rather creating the tracks the right way.

I thought that with the ZOOM, that if the zoom is being fed electricity from an external source, that if the power is cut, the zoom will still go back to the battery source and stay on, using the batteries at that point.
Or am I wrong, and this is not how it works?
