I think I know what you mean but there still seems to be something that doesn’t make sense….

All of my files imported before November that were shot in 1080 will show up as 1920×1080 in my finder window. If i go to “get info” It says (Dimensions 1920×1080. Codecs (DVCPRO HD (1080i60) When they are loaded into final cut…they say 1280×1080.

All of my files imported after November that were shot in 1080 will show up as 1280×1080 in my finding window. Why does the old 1080 footage show up as 1920×1080 in my finding window if the files after november show up as 1280×1080? Why is it reading the old files as 120×1080?

It must be difficult to understand because this is a very complicated situation. Let me see if I can break it down easier.

1080/24p footage shot before November:
Shows up as 1920×1080 in my finder Window on my mac desktop.
when imported…final cut reads it as 1280×1080.

1080/24p footage shot AFTER November:
Shows up as 1280×1080 in my finder window on my mac desktop. (INSTEAD OF 1920×1080)

If my camera only shoots in 1280×1080…why is it reading the old as 1920×1080?

The Bigger question..is why did it change in the first place? What happened to my 1920×1080?
