24p was the frame rate of old sequence. The new sequence is 30.

It seems to be interpreting correctly (both at 29.97) – I can’t seem to find a fix for this. There are gaps/spots of black between many of the clips after cutting-and-pasting.

Yes, the new sequence has same frame rate as source footage and now there are gaps in-between the clips that we can’t seem to fix.

I am having some type of problem. We tried creating a new sequence, and cutting-pasting, however, after we did this, there is now a gap (it shows black) between the clips (the ends of the clips are now marked with gray diagonal lines). We tried to solve by shrinking and extending clips, to no avail. Do you know how to avoid this?

Thanks Paul! Question – When you edit the .MTS files ONLY, do you start with the CS5 preset noted as: AVCHD 1080p 24 (I shot in 24p/Cinema Mode)?
