Thanks Dave. This was exactly my question. I just want to retrieve files from clients. I would say that each client could upload up to 1h of videos shot on their phones…so I would estimate at 10GB per client.
Bob, thanks for your comprehensive yet peripheral answer. I never intended to edit out of a server unless there is a magical platform that I don’t know of yet! ( hence my final “option” point)

Hey Mark, Thanks for the precision. I was actually trying to retime the Text Rack Focus template but couldn’t get through…Do you have a method to modify timing with 3D templates?

Thanks! The transfer of media went well but it seems that I’ve lost the timeline and viewer…Basically what I have already edited on this project…Am I missing something?

John, YOU ARE THE BEST! I had everything right EXCEPT the LINEAR PCM! I have no idea what it is but it worked!! Thank you so much for your time.

I noticed that the only difference between the 2 clip settings is in Audio : 16-bit Integrer for my video ( which works great in timeline) VS 32 bit floating point for other videos ( always need render and bip bip bip sound)
Could this be the main issue? how do I change it? I didn’t see anything in Compressor allowing me to change it…

Hi John,

this is what I just did…went into Compressor changed clip setting to my existing clip settings. 1440 x 1080, codec ProRes422, fps 29.97…
This only thing I couldn’t find was where to change audio to 16-bit intergrer, so I left it as pass-through…
Unfortunately when I try to re-import the clip into FCP…same issue : audio goes BIP BIP BIP and red render bar appears…

Any suggestions? thanks sooo much!
