okay…a freelance producer hired a shooter to get an interview with a subject who has sadly…passed away recently. the material is in IMX but i don’t know what flavor.

    A. How can i check this?

    B. I only have access to an FCP 5.0HD system at the moment running on a G5 without the flip4mac plugin so even if i did have IMX50 material i can’t really capture it…is that correct? If not, can i capture this material using another codec without gettting the shutters and gitters or do i need to redig all of this stuff on an avid then convert the material do i can use it on FCP.

    please HELP

oh yes…how can you tell how it was shot if you don’t speak to the DP directly and are we talking about 525/50 or 625/50?

can you shoot in 50 and digitize in lets say DVPAL?

no not using FLIP4MAC is that critical?

does anyone else get stuttes when you play IMX material that you just digitze at 50, 40 , or 30? I don’t have a BOB or an AJAX box. I’m going straight into a dual G5 and capture disc is my hard drive running FCP 5.0 HD
