  • I’ve been researching color charts. Seems like DSC charts are the most popular. B & H Photo has some good options at very reasonable prices.

Oh gosh! Didn’t realize I needed a monitor. I’m a total newbie at using multiple cameras. I thought I could just match the same settings for all the cameras and shoot. Didn’t realize I needed a monitor to do that… Any advise would be fantastic. Thanks again!!!

  • Fantastic! Thanks Noah! Yes, I figured that a sound engineer was going to be a must. Thanks for confirming. I thought since the theater had mics and a digital recorder that I could perhaps do what you mentioned – which is to shoot the footage and use the recorded audio from the theater in post. I guess it’s better to leave the audio portion to a professional.

On another note, I called a few rental places and they only carry DVX 100A’s (I have a DVX 100B). I plan to shoot in 24p – squeezemode. I skimmed through the online manual and there doesn’t seem to be much of a difference. Wondering what your take was on it… Also, do I need Mattboxes or would the camera as is be adequate?

    Thanks again Noah!!!
