to be completely honest I’m not that familiar with servers. I do know that they pretty much made this server as high end as possible and I have never had any problems editing off it before. Not even so much as a slow down in response time, this has been the first problem I’ve ever had with it.

No, I imported with Log & Transfer and then dropped a clip into the Timeline. My sequence settings are set for:

Frame Size = 1920×1080
Aspect Ratio = HDTV 1080i (16:9)
Pixel Aspect Ratio = Square

29.97 FPS
Compressor is Apple ProRes422

Those are what FCP set it to after dropping the clip in. I’ve also checked the motion tab to make sure the scale is at 100% which it is. I had hoped it was just as simple as that lol.
