Using sparse disk images for archiving was a good solution when Event and Project folders were separated. Now that everything is already contained inside a Library there is no real need for this anymore. Just clean up your Library (delete Generated Library Media Files if you wish), make sure all your media are consolidated and archive the Library.

Select the clip in the browser, de-activate the unused channels in the Inspector, then set Pan Mode to Stereo. Does that solve the issue?

In my original project file, I had imported the footage as proxy media only, to save space, so that is why I’m confused why it’s saying it’s missing.
Can you explain how you have done this? Because this is probably what has screwed up your entire project.

German is one of my native languages, so I have watched your presentation and I find your training method very appealing. I think if the training series was also available in English it would be one of the most popular ones around.
A few days ago I had a long conversation with a bunch of editors at a Swedish television station. FCP X is becoming really big in the Nordic countries. When I asked them what they had missed most during their transition to FCP X many of them replied: a proper step-by-step training program that is specifically oriented towards professional users. From the few things I have seen I think your way if training fits better into this category than any training package I know. Just my opinion.

Ditto here. Last week I needed to update a production we did at the Paralympic Games in 2012 (FCP X 10.0.5). Over 3000 clips, 74 projects including CCs, multiclips and whatnot… Not one missing file, everything went perfectly fine except for a custom title template we had created during the editing. The text was still there but the formatting was wong. Then I noticed the custom template was missing on the machine where we did the updating. I copied it over from the original templates folder and instantly all titles were restored. In the meantime we have re-edited and exported most of the projects and no issues at all. So I would say: just go for it.

So you need a 80,000 dollar high-speed cam to be able to recover audio that you could simply have recorded with a cheap microphone? Now that’s what I call progress!

Just a few thoughts.
Technology has drastically changed since Cold Mountain. What was quite an achievement in those days, any decent editor with any decent hard- and software can do in his bedroom now. Feature films are no standard for editing anymore, they only represent an insignificant share of the total editing market. So to the majority of people this will not mean very much, simply because they don’t work in that segment. Just like it won’t matter if the next WB blockbuster will be cut on FCP X, or not. How many feature films have been cut on Lightworks, and where is that NLE today?

In the Compressor > Inspector > Video tab you can click the QuickTime Settings button. This will open a window where you can set the bit rate and other options for your export. Choose H.264, 60fps, 50000 kbps.
You can save this as a custom Compressor setting and use the custom setting as a new Destination in the FCP X Share menu.
