And i found my own solution 😉
For some reason i forget i turned off the continuously rasterize ‘sun’ in the nested comps…
    That caused it.
I have no idea why the footage is shown while scrubbing but allaz!

I hope somebody finds this usefull somehow, haha

i understand your concernes. But this audioguy has had no other complains then mine. And he hasn’t changed his setup for at least a year.

I tried to make an wav out of itunes. but that went wrong somehow. So i asked my soundguy to make several tracks for me with even better recognision of left/right.

I tried some other things though:
the original file plays allright in itunes on my laptop. but i soon as i import it in Premiere (on my laptop) the stereo is reversed.
The same goes out to my own editcomputer.

    Now for our other editcomputer:
4core with not yet leopard on it. The original file is played allright in itunes AND also allright in soundbooth and premiere…

so, the biggest difference on these machines is leopard… any thoughts about that one?
in the mean time i awaite the soundfiles from my audio guy.

    thnx for looking into this!

i am 100 procent sure the audio is allright!
it plays with the channels o.k. on my laptop and also in itunes.

As soon as i start up Soundbooth or premiere the channels are reversed…

    thanks for replying!
i imported the AIF into soundbooth. But there also the stereo is allready inverted…?
so it seems something else. I also have a Fastrack M-audio external usb soundcard. Maybe that could cause the problems.
But on our other editmachine there is no external soundcard and there we have the same problem…

need to do some more investigations…
so if anyone has a tip for where to look 😉

  • jups,

    exactly the same thing here.
since people are able to put a coke bottle behind it. It must be possible. Are we missing out something?

    thnx

thank you so much for this (and most of your other tutorials!)

i went along and made a handwritten logo so i can use it while vj-ing in a club.
For this purpose (and others ofcourse) it would be nice to give it an alpha channel. If i ‘un-ey’ the BG layer i can export it with an alpha channel. But no colour can be seen. Applaying the color to the partical layer works but looks not as good as applaying to both the partical and BG layer.I tried several things but couldnt export with an alpha and with colour at the same time. Is there a handy way it can be done?

    thnx for anyones answer 😉
