There are some good web site design templates that can be found at…
https://www.templatemonster.com
Some will indeed disagree with me on using templates but when you are busy, have no spare time, can’t spend a ton of money and want to get something that looks good, templates are a useful tool.

Hi Paul,
David has already given you some of the bad news and so I will point out what first hit me: If you are using your site as a way to grab business, the client wants to know what is in it for them. They do not care what tools you use, if it meant anything to them, they’d be using them and wouldn’t be looking for you.
Make your site about what you do for your clients. Give them examples of finished products that they can relate to. Show them examples. Do not ask them to read all that text and try to figure it out themselves from what you are describing. You are the “communicator” after all, so communicate what you do in the fewest number of words.
Use pictures. Use as little quantity of text as you can get away with.
Your bullet-pointed start page that you have now would work well as a worksheet schematic for you to work from.
Some people argue that templated websites that you can buy online will ill-serve you. I disagree when it comes to getting something out the door quickly, especially for someone who knows little about building websites.
As David alluded to, the goal here is to give your prospects something they are comfortable with. That is why I would recommend a templated design to start with as most of them are based on known and trusted web standards.
Please don’t take this as a slap, it is meant really to help shorten your developmental cycle as much as possible.

March 10, 2008 at 8:15 pm in reply to: admin: Would you like to host the JVC Camera/Deck forum? — please write usHey Dave,
Sorry to seem like I am ignoring you. I have been pretty sick and also fighting some trademark legal battles right now, so things have been nuts.
I have your picture and bio almost done and should have you live within an hour or two.
Thanks again, Dave.

If there were another model made that was available for sale by any other company, Jan would know. Jan knows everything.
When I grow up, I want to be just like her — well, except for the girl part.
;o)
I may be goofing around here but I am QUITE serious that if Jan tells you there is no other source available, there isn’t.

[Chris Clephane] “For monitoring signal levels…Stick with a real waveform monitor. (Used on Ebay $100-$600). For technical reasons too numerous to list here we finally abandoned the “convenience” of a SW scope suite for the real thing. If you are used to working with a real “tube”, the SW versions really just do not compare.”
I couldn’t agree more … but that wasn’t the question. But a $100 Ebay special is not likely to get you a broadcast monitor that you’d really be able to trust.

Hello Patrick,
I hate to be the one to burst your bubble (before Dave LaRonde does it next) but if you have as little experience as you clearly state that you have, have only the trial version of After Effects, do not have any of the plug-ins nor the resources to get any — well, let’s just be kind and say that this is such a complex problem that you are not going to get there from here. Oh, you could if you had endless time to tweak and figure out a long myriad of issues, one at a time, until you eventually figured out things like motion capture (a highly complex subject for most), matching animation choreography (another complex subject), and a bunch of others. Mess up on any one of them and your subjects are going to blame you that their production didn’t work.
This one is out of your league right now. Pick something simpler to start with, something attainable.
As I said, if you had endless time you could figure these issues out, but you don’t and there is a deadline.
I am sorry to have burst your bubble but if you want more issues than I have named, you could pop over to the COW’s Live Events & Staging forum where they will give you another whole set of issues that must be addressed before this will work.
My sincere apologies for throwing cold water on your aspirations.
Best regards,

Yes, it is included with the Mac version as Adobe knows that many run it under Bootcamp or Parallels. It comes on a separate disc that is included with CS3. It is simply not a Mac program but it is there.

[Dave LaRonde] “…sadly, it’s no longer the case.”
No it isn’t. And beating the drum against it doesn’t help. I know, I hated it when Apple began to charge for their OS software after nearly 15 years or so of getting it free.
Free…now that’s a nice price.
:o)
