being that my friend paid with a credit card and wasnt with me at the time of exchange – they would only allow me to do an even exchange – other then that I just opened it and it has to be something that is not setup right in FCP 7 .

i will return my fire wire cable – that i bought from radio shack – its a gigi ware 400 firewire cable … should i exchange it for the same cable or should i get the firewire 800 cable

yes – if you are familiar with sony cameras there are only to modes play vcr – i have it set to play …. if thats what you mean.

i changed all that like you suggested – is there a setting or option that i need to change on my camera – to allow the video to go to final cut pro – i dont have the manual but i did look at it online – and it wasnt too helpful when it comes to logging and capturing in final cut pro
