From what I have found DVDSP 4 considers progressive SD video “480p” to be “High Definition” and therefore will only allow you to author 480p to a HD DVD……. which is absolutely ridiculous! That is why your text is falling apart, it is being displayed as interlaced. I am having the same problem with still menus as well. It will not allow you to specify it as progressive when the project is NTSC SD. Only solution so far is to use DVDSP 3.
