Thanks guys, given me some food for thought with the camera angles.
The placement of the Green screen and the 2nd camera is what is throwing me at the moment, but like Dave said I guess it will be a case of trial and error
    Thanks

I was thinking the mirror would be on a wall or in the middle of the room.
I am also unsure what you mean when you say a motion control rig for multiple passes? I do know what a motion control rig and passes are indivudually though- The production is low amateur/low budget so a motion rig is unlikely.
I was thinking more along the lines of is there an effect in After effects for e.g. that could simulate this? and if so,how would I need to shoot the footage to execute it efficiently?

    Thanks

Apologies for the delay in response, but thanks, there is some great information here, it has opened up new research paths for me!
I like the idea about parenting the talent to a plane, although I only intended to composite the actor with the 3D scene in After effects-Is there some way of extracting the camera data from maya and using it in AE?

Also when you mentioned to: “add tracking markers to the treadmill to gauge the speed of the 3D ground as it passes beneath his feet. Measure the spacing of those markers, width, depth.”

I’m unsure exactly how to execute this-How will these markers enable me to determine the speed and how would I remove them later, by duplicating the layer & masking?

    Many Thanks for your advice
