    Thanks, David.
Turns out there was no actual FCP7 software on the computer, just lots of aliases and supporting files. I ordered a new set of disks from ebay for 50 bucks.
    Fingers crossed.

The biggest challenges I have with using the iphone because it’s “the camera that I have with me” is that it’s so light and jiggly and you can’t view what you are shooting if you want to be unobtrusive. Then there’s the issue of sound recording. I keep a bracket and small tripod in my backpack but not in my pocket. Anybody have partial solutions to these? Good to get a black rather than a white phone for unobtrusiveness.
    Cheers,
    Robert

    Thanks for the word, Herb.
I have had my “Install Mojave” USB standing by for a new imac or Macbook so will take the time to check if either has Catalina on it.

    Thanks so much, Ron.
Are you distributing this software or could you provide a name or a link?
    All best,

Ah, I see, Ron, a propriety format. Do you plan to share/distribute the formatting software? When you say flash drive are you referring to a standard USB drive or a USB running Flash software to play?
    Thanks,

    Agreed, Brad.
That would probably be best before _buying_ a computer too.

I read the requirements on the bmd site and they were a little vague. Then I read in a forum that somebody didn’t expect to run Resolve on an Imac. B&H doesn’t even sell the graphics cards that bmd asks for with their MB Pros.

I’m having to search harder. Or go back to Premiere.
    Thanks,

    Hi Ron,
That’s a fascinating idea. Can you make original DVD-format shows for USB? What file format do the USB/DVD formats use?
I’ve been gearing up for single film/per USB distribution on USBs with an external logo.
    Thanks,
    Robert

What’s Render Cache? Does it use hardware differently or does it render some things and not others? I have an 2017 MB Air that runs Resolve 15 but you have to use the highest screen resolution, which makes the interface very small on 13″ screen. Not all buttons appear even so.
    Thanks,

    Hi Rob,
I would expect an omni would _emphasize_ the “liveness” of the room rather than reduce it.
    Best,
