September 28, 2009 at 5:18 am in reply to: What type of effect is used in this music video? At around 1:55 the slice open the “moon” and liquid shoots out of it…a few seconds later some of the people in the video start drinking it and putting it on their body..
I’m curious about what kind of filter/effect that could be..
I’m leaning towards it being a noise effect applied to the liquid or it being moshed data…
For those that don’t know, this is whats being labeled as data mosh…it’s also by the same directorhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LG39Wp7OzQ&feature=video_response

What’s the effect on this liquid? It happens around 1:55.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS33KQ71o6U&hd=1I’m pretty sure its a noise filter applied to the liquid but I can’t find one that one that will be as colorful.

Thanks, I figured that little problem out a little while after I put up the post.
But, then I added it to the render queue and it came out squashed…So, I’ll try that stretch option.Just out of curiosity, am I degrading the videos quality because it’s being squashed then unsquatched?

September 17, 2009 at 7:12 pm in reply to: Is this a simple scaling in/out done in post or something else?Hey, shoot is for a friend but I’m taking it as serious as if it were for a client. It’s to promote his new record coming out in December.
PS. Dave, I respect your opinion as well. But, I didn’t ask for advice on any of the other stuff. I just wanted to know if that was a specific effect/plug-in I had not thought about and couldn’t figure out how to google it properly.
Thanks for all the help guys.
