  • Hello John
Have you had a chance to see where those links might be for the samples tutorials. Do you know how long it will be for the downloadable tutorials?

    Thaks

  • Hi John

In your last post to me you suggested that I purchase your DVD tutorials. You said it would get me up and running faster. I thought it was a good idea. I replied back with a few questions about the product but never heard back. Perhaps I did not reply correctly. Again here are my concerns.

Can the information be downloaded vs mailed as I live in Thailand and that could be an issue.

Is the format in a video form so I can stop and start it as I go along? I learn best by watching an example not by reading.

If these are in a video form is it possible to see an example to be sure I can understand and be able to do it?

I assume if I get stuck I can post my question to the forum for clarification?

    Thanks John

  • That sounds like a good idea. I have VP 9 will that be ok? The example you posted is that the format / are there videos that I can start and stop to copy what I see? How many dvds are there and where are they mailed from. Mail here in Thailand can be iffy unless in a priority box

Any chance I may view one tutorial to be sure i understand what’s being presented? I have a slight learning disability

    Thank you so much

  • Hello Everyone,
A quick update with my learning process and a couple technical questions.

Grazie, you mentioned that VP9 worked well and you had trouble with the upgrades. Wondering why you’d upgrade if VP9 work well?

I am working with VP9 and have learned a couple of things by the you tube tutorials. So I can import media, turn on the audio for narration (this excites me). That’s it for now. I am wondering how to trim a video in the trim window. I do not see any tools to do that. Trim means shorten the length right? Lastly where are the transition buttons for fads and disolves?

I’ve been holding off asking simple questions and trying to figure it out myself but now I am stumped.

    Thanks everyone
    Robert

  • John,
Your kind words have inspired me even more!
Is it appropiate to share a little bit of my life
so everyone can get to know me? I don’t have a website.
I did look at yours very impressive!
I feel like I have arrived in the right spot to stick it out as you said! In a weak moment I read a review and it was saying that Cyberlink was the #1 editing software. So I bought it. But you tout Vegas Pro and that’s what this forum is all about.

You and Steve told me to concentrate on the story which I feel confident to do. My goal is to make a 1 to 2 minute trailer about my story…………this is where I shine…….but the technical is a challenge for me at the moment.

Replying to you will it also be seen by other members in this thread?
    Robert

  • I want to thank everyone for their time.
I know I have so much to learn just to tell my story.
I like what Steve Rhoden said “young editor”…..physically I am 60
in the editing world I am about 3……LOL
