    Thanks for the tip and I’ll look into BitVice. Blu-ray isn’t really a concern right now, but might be later on. I’m more curious if given the tools at my disposal (Quicktime Pro, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro, FCP, Avid, MPeg Streamclip, etc) if there’s a better way to go about it than what I’m doing.

  • I actually just did this and got it to work perfectly. I thought I was doing this before, but my sequence wasn’t updated to 1080p 23.97 (it was just at 23.97) even though my project was in 1080p 23.97. I just wasn’t individually modifying those settings like I should have been. Thanks everyone.

  • The workflow that I was told to do at my school was to dub from HDCAM to mini DV then work with the mini DV capturing, and online back to the HDCam later, so that’s what I did. I’m not even sure how I would do what you’re suggesting, and really right now, I’m looking for a solution that won’t force me to re-capture, log and sync everything.
