So I exported to the media browser and found that it had the same problem. I also tried to export as a FLV but I got an error called -32766 and I think I need a third party software to convert it. Also I took a look at the video frame by frame (the part it losses quality) and found that it was perfect before exporting. So I am guessing this is a conversion issue.

I am ready to record the segments necessary over again if need be.

    Thank you,

    Robert

Everything is fine until I export the file. The original footage is perfect High Definition and in Imovie when I preview the clip it’s perfect…

Unfortunately I am a student and funds are low. I think i am going to restart my video and just take out all the crazy effects and keep it simple. Maybe when I get more advanced I will purchase the piece.

    Thanks for the advice,

    Rob

Hey so I tried converting the files to a bunch of different Hd prores but non of them are working. I went back and reloaded the clips and edited them again with less effects and they seem to be a lot better. The glow effect seems to do some damage to the clips.

Is this a graphics card issue?

    Hey there,

I get not only the flashing green but also a flashing black screen that comes more often but doesn’t last very long. it happens more when I did large speed changes or reverse in direction. I reset the preferences, RT is not unlimited, and took out all my audio files. I thought that when I exported the video it wouldn’t be such a problem but all the flashing remained there.

The file is only 2 minutes long but full of effects. What could be a solution to this?

My computer is: IMac 3.2 GHz intel core i3, ATI radeon HD 4570

I take recording from my xbox (.mp4 files) and import them into final cut- is that the problem?

    Let me know,

    Rob
